Chapter Eight

"Oh, we’re watching a murder mystery?" I asked as Reece pulled up the movie he’d picked out for us to watch. Arty was already on the couch, and I joined him, making a space between us for Reece since it was his turn to be in the middle. Yes, I was keeping track of whose turn it was.

Arty tapped the side of my head with his finger, and I turned to him, curious. He winked at me as he leaned closer and pressed a sweet, sexy kiss to my lips. I wanted to pull him closer and let him have me any way he wanted to, but we had plans and Daddy needed the downtime.

Sir’s train of thoughts seemed to be headed in the same direction because he bit my lip once before pulling away, though his hand brushed down my front as he went, lighting me up on the inside. I’d worn a silky nightgown tonight, something Daddy had bought me, and Arty’s fingers felt like the best kind of torture as they touched me through the silky cloth.

"A good-old whodunnit. Great!" Ro'Shassz said from where he was curled up in Spike's box. Whenever I was home with Reece and Arty, Ro'Shassz made a point of sticking to Spike's side, no matter what we were doing. It was sweet to see the two of them all cuddled up like that. Ro’Shassz had told me Spike was his boyfriend. Ro could understand Spike, and they had a lot in common, according to him. As long as it worked for them, I had absolutely no problem, and I smiled as Reece turned to him.

"You like murder mysteries, Ro'Shassz?" Reece asked, and Ro'Shassz tilted his head from side to side, his slitted eyes narrowing slightly.

"Oh, I love murder mysteries. Unfortunately, the only other person in Otherworld who likes them is my sworn enemy, Caelan. I can't very well watch them with him now, can I? So, I haven't really watched too many of them in recent years."

Reece shook his head as he walked over to us and crawled in between us. He kissed Arty on the lips as I watched, his fingers running through Arty’s short hair. The two looked so beautiful together, and it struck me again how lucky I was to be sitting there beside them instead of watching them through the shadows like I had for so long.

Reece turned to me then, his lips wet and his eyes dark, and he pulled me into a rough, demanding kiss I was only too happy to return.

Once I was all hot and bothered, Reece pulled away and sank back into the couch. He turned to Ro’Shassz as if he hadn’t just wrecked me to my core and said, "I still don't understand why the two of you are still fighting. What happened was a long time ago. You should forget it."

"Never!" Ro’Shassz hissed, and Reece chuckled.

"You're such a petty snake."
